TAIWANESE HARDWARE VENDOR Acer has confirmed that its Iconia Tab range
of tablets will get an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
(ICS).

The firm has issued a US press release saying that its Iconia Tab
A200, A500 and A100 will all get ICS. We've spoken with Acer, which
confirmed that all of the tablets will be upgradeable in the UK.

The further the spiritual evolution of mankind advances, the more
certain it seems to me that the path to genuine religiosity does not
lie through the fear of life, and the fear of death, and blind faith,
but through striving after rational knowledge.

I'm salivating! So I went to look for a release that affects the US and
found this:

Iconia Tab A200 owners in the U.S. will get the update first. Acer
said it already started pushing out ICS to these devices as an
over-the-air update, and plans to complete the process over the
following week. The Iconia Tab A100 7-inch tablet (slideshow below)
and Iconia Tab A500 10-inch tablet will both be updated in April.

I (and my son) own the A100, so I have to wait until April.

I feel like doing an Eric Cartman (South Park) and freezing myself
until that time so I don't have to sit around waiting and waiting.
However, that's not possible. So I'll be happy that it's going to
happen at all, since I really had no expectation that they'd do it.

I try to make everyone's day a little more surreal.
