The software doesn’t end there, as there is a lost or deleted partitions recovery tool integrated into the suite, even if it is a
RAID array. Nevertheless in the event that there is a breakdown in the RAID array, the software is not able to recover a RAID 0 array which is a bit of a shame.
Once again, the user will have the choice between using automatic mode, which allows you to analyse the disk and recover partitions. How? Simply by analysing the Master Boot Record located on the first sector of Cylinder 0 and head 0, which contains the information about your partition table. But the analysis utility also analyses the hard drive in its entirety so that it can detect unallocated space that could contain one or more partitions.
In manual mode, you will have the choice between the quick and full search method. If you choose the quick search, Disk Director Suite will verify the beginning of all cylinders on the drive. The full method will analyse each sector on the disk, which takes a lot more time.
While Disk Director Suite is capable of recovering your partitions, it is also capable of completely destroying the data contained on a hard drive if you delete the partition(s). This is ideal for preventing those that wish to recover some of your data. To do this, the program performs numerous passes over the disk (its up to you to specify the number you want) writing over the unallocated space.
It really does delete the data, because we then tried to use special recovery tools like Easy Recovery Pro to restore the data and they were incapable of doing as such.
