Active Sync Calender one way issue

April 28th, 2007 - 09:37 am ET by Joseph O | Report spam
I've got two Users with Treo 700w on SBS'03 Prem Exchange SP2 set up to
Active Sync 4.2 their Mail, Contacts, Calender, and Notes over the air.
All is working fine except when a new Calender Event is added on either
Handheld. When a sync occurs, it is not added to Outlook. And here's the
clincher - if there is a reminider associated with that event, it fires off
in Outlook right on schedule- Even though the event (appointment) is not
posted in the Outlook Calender!
When an appointment is added in Outlook, it is sync'ed to the handheld
calender no problem.
Contacts are sync'ed just fine and mail is a perfect two way street.

Can anyone help with this one?

Nope - tried all of these and still no Outlook Sync.
New Appointments still appear in OWA, they're just not making it to the
desktop.
Could this be something in Exchange or in the permissions of Outlook?

Thank you - you're 100% on the mark - Items show up in OWA - and a
click on the reminder brings me to the appointment entry.

Only problem is when I go to remove filters inside Outlook it's
reported as being turnd off already - and even when I tell it to
remove them anyways - I still don't get the calender items.

Is there another possible view/filter I might be missing?

Again - Thanks for your input!

No prob. You could try resetting the view/s in Outlook; click on
Day/Week/Month or whatever you wish, and click the Reset button.

Or reset all views back to defaults, by running Outlook once from the
Start | Run line - browse to the full path of outlook.exe and append a
space and "/cleanview" (no quotes) after the last double quote.

If you get the reminder in Outlook, you get the option to Open Item
does that work?
Check the mailbox in OWA to make sure you really truly can't see the
calendar item. I'm guessing there is some sort of view filter in
Outlook.
