Analogix Launches SlimPort(TM) Technology for Portable Devices

Analogix Semiconductor, Inc., a world leader in high-performance digital media interface solutions, today announced the launch of its patent-pending SlimPort(TM) technology, which allows smartphones and other SlimPort-enabled mobile devices to deliver uncompressed 3D HD audio and video to large screen HDTVs and other displays over the existing mobile USB connector without draining the mobile devices’ batteries. SlimPort transmitters work with power saving CoolHD(TM) Analogix technology to enable HDTVs to play back digital media from any mobile device – including tablets, MP4 players, digital cameras, mobile phones and camcorders – using the existing mobile USB connector and existing display devices such as HDTVs, monitors and projectors.
