add new hardware window

I installed sound drivers on nt4 and every time I re-boot the found new
hardware window opens and wants to install the drivers again. Is there a
way to stop this? I tried re-installing sp6 but that did not work.

I renamed the pnnisa.sys in the win 32 folder to 'old' and that stopped
the new hardware window. The sound drivers work fine
