Bug#648822: xul-ext-zotero: When launching zotero I get "There was an error starting Zotero."

Dear Maintainer,

I installed xul-ext-zotero. When I try to launch it from within iceweasel
I get the message "There was an error starting Zotero."

Debian Release: wheezy/sid
APT prefers testing

Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-rc1+ (SMP w/4 CPU cores)
Locale: LANG=en_DK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_DK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8)
Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash

Versions of packages xul-ext-zotero depends on:
ii iceweasel 7.0.1-4

xul-ext-zotero recommends no packages.

xul-ext-zotero suggests no packages.

I installed xul-ext-zotero. When I try to launch it from within
iceweasel I get the message "There was an error starting Zotero."

Unfortunately I don't have an amd64 machine to test for this. I
suggest trying to install the extension from upstream to see if
there's the same problem.

Also, have you tried with Iceweasel 8 ?

No, the extension runs when installed from within the browser. This is
version 2.1.10.

Thus the bug you report is upstream and has nothing to do with the package
(which is btw for version 2.1.8 right now, not 2.1.10). I am closing it.

I am saying that Zotero (version 2.1.10) does run when installed from
within iceweasel, _but_ Zotero doesn't run when installed system-wide
from the Debian package xul-ext-zotero. Thus there is a problem with
the Debian package xul-ext-zotero and this is what this bug report is
about.
