Bug#659825: www.debian.org: link with incorrect "anchor" in /distrib/packages

February 13th, 2012 - 06:20 pm ET by Niels Thykier | Report spam
Package: www.debian.org
Severity: minor

http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages:

"""
<dt><a href="http://packages.debian.org/unstable/">View the packages in the
<strong>unstable</strong> distribution</a></dt>

<dd>
<p>
This area contains the most recent packages in Debian. Once a
package has met our criterion for stability and quality of packaging,
it will be included in testing. <q>unstable</q> is also not supported
^^^^^^^^
<a href="../security/faq#testing">by the security team</a>.
^^^^^^^^
</p>
"""

(emphasis mine) I suspect the link should have been
"../security/faq#unstable".

You are correct. I have fixed this in CVS and the fix should show up at the
website in a few hours.

Hi Javier,

Thanks to for fixing it in English, but please, do fix such trivial
changes in translations.

smart_change.pl offers an easy way to do that. For example, I just did
(the -p switch was only added to match your previous commit, it's not
needed if every thing is fixed in one shot):

./smart_change.pl -p -s 's/#testing/#TEMP/' -s 's/#testing/#unstable/' \
-s 's/#TEMP/#testing/' english/distrib/packages.wml

So it will be fixed in every translations too.

Regards

David
