Bug#680077: Net::DNS::Header::data: no such method at /usr/share/perl5/Net/DNS/Fingerprint.pm line 669

July 03rd, 2012 - 08:40 am ET by Michael Shuler | Report spam
Package: fpdns
Version: 0.9.3-4
Severity: important

Hello,

Apologies for not digging up a fix and patch, but time does not permit at
the moment. I use fpdns only occasionally for curiosity and it is
currently not working at all for me (thus, important severity):

$ fpdns -d ns1.linode.com
==> PROCESS 69.93.127.10:53 0,IQUERY,0,0,1,0,0,0,NOERROR,0,0,0,0 . IN A

Net::DNS::Header::data: no such method at /usr/share/perl5/Net/DNS/Fingerprint.pm line 669
$

Kind regards,
Michael Shuler

I am using a fresh Sid VM and unfortunately get the following output:
debian:~$ fpdns ns1.linode.com
fingerprint (ns1.linode.com, 69.93.127.10): ISC BIND 9.2.3rc1 -- 9.6.1-P1
fingerprint (ns1.linode.com, 2600:3c00:0:0:0:0:0:a): No match found

I get the same results on a Wheezy VM.

Do you have any special packages installed that might disturb anything?

Best regards
Thorsten
