When I send an e-mail I get this error:

An unknown error has occurred.

Subject 'mmmmmmmmmmmmmm' (Was sending this to myself as an experiment)
Server Error: 421
Server Response: 421 #4.4.5 Too many connections to this listener.
Server: 'SMTP.lineone.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC67
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25

Any ideas please.

This is a mail server problem. Were you the only addressee on the
message or were their others (recheck if you believe it was you alone).
This error is common when there are too many recipients. It could also
be that the mail server is overloaded, or that you are accessing a mail
server for which you aren't authorized. It is not a WLM problem. Contact
your MSP.

I forwarded an e-mail which had loads of addressees on it. Would that be
the problem and if so will it rectify itself of its own volition as it gives
the same error when I send an e-mail to myself as an experiment.

I now find that when I click Send and then Sync the error message appears
and then if I continuously hit Sync a few times the e-mail message is sent
and all is well. Strange. Any ideas now.

If the "loads of addresses" were only in the body of the email, that
should not be a problem, and it probably points to an email server
problem -- particularly if you were finally able to get the message
through. However if the "loads of addresses" were in the To, CC, BCC
fields, that could be the problem. Your MSP has limits on message
distribution, as it likely has for the number of messages you can send
daily/monthly (spam prevention).
