Hello

I want to delete mistyped and unwanted web addresses in the drop down arrow
in the address bar of IE 7.0.

I don't know the path to where all the web addresses are stored. Any help
will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
Those URLs are in a TypedURLs key in the registry. This article explains the
TypedURLs history:
157729 - How to Clear the History Entries in Internet Explorer:
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...us;Q157729
Removing some or all entries is an easy registry edit.

For an easier, safer removal method, go to
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm
and download "DelTypedURL." This INF file will remove all entries.

These two freeware programs will remove some or all entries:
IE Address Bar Editor: http://www.freesoft.fsnet.co.uk/ieedit01.htm
EditURLs: http://www.aandrc.com/editurls/index.htm

The TypedURLs list is limited to 25 entries, so old entries are replaced by
new ones.

Tip: If you type URLs in via File> Open, instead of the address bar, they
aren't saved in the TypedURLs key and you can keep a select few URLs in the
drop-down list.
