did I just apply updates with no password

October 25th, 2011 - 10:41 am ET by jebblue | Report spam
I unlocked my screen on 11.10, saw the Update Manager
running in the Launcher, clicked it and clicked Install
Updates.

Unless I missed something I don't think it asked me
for my password?

// This is my opinion.

Same here. Took them all except the ones dealing with evolution mail.
All went well, this was yesterday.

Having to supply a password before changes to the system was a "Good
Thing" (tm) IMO in contrast to that other OS.

Take care,

Didn't you just type it in to unlock the machine?
Simon.
