FYI: New Firefox 3.6.18

Just a simple note that a new version of the firefox browser is out,
3.6.18. Probably, there will be an official Slackware release with the
update soon, but it's easy to build it using the standard slackbuild by
simply replacing the firefox binary being repackaged.

I went back to Firefox 3 because it has a handier interface. Does
Firefox 5 resemble Firefox 4?
If so I will give it a pass. Not every change is an improvement.

The recent changes appear to be filtering down the line. Icecat v4
seems to be packed full of junk processes only dedicated clicky-bot
windroids would be pleased about. I'm thinking we'll be seeing some
stripped back versions as soon as those with the skills to create them
see how things are going with Mozilla "products".

ffs i'm on a piii 600 mhz 1 gb ram and firefox +4.0 is actually one of
the first useable firefoxes since the 3.x line !

The enjoy already. I prefer a browser to be just a browser, not a full
iPhone app with added security holes and processes that tip up data to
anything that asks for it.
