IE8 Error Message - This content cannot be displayed in a frame

Hello,

IE8 Error Message - "This content cannot be displayed in a frame"

I got this error message while using a credit card to buy a product on a website after
filling all the required information during authentication process.

"This content cannot be displayed in a frame".

Any one know how to fix or circumvent the problem ?

I have Windows XP SP3 but I am pretty sure the error has nothing to do with
the operating system Windows XP SP3.

TIA

You should at least try a search at Google before
asking others to find out for you. This was the
3rd link that came up for me in a search for that
phrase:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...85%29.aspx

(Search in that page for "content cannot".)

Basically what it means is that probably either you
got suckered into going to a spoof page ("phishing"),
or the merchant website has a flawed design that's
loading something like a credit card form in a sub-frame
or IFRAME.

The first thing is not to buy online. It's not safe.
Call instead. (If they don't have a phone number
that means there is also no human-contact recourse
if you have a problem with the product. Not good.)

If you must buy online, don't use IE. Use any other
browser.

If you must use IE, be careful to make sure that you're
not at a spoof site. That kind of attack has become
the preferred online scam method.

If you're *really* sure the whole thing is on the level
then you might want to contact the merchant and
tell them that their web design malfunctions.

Thanks for the reply but I actually spent atleast two hours googling and researching
the error message before posting on this newsgrroup.

I already tried using FireFox and Google Chrome but got the same error message
before posting here.

The microsoft help link of MSDN is for developers and not for IE users.

I still have the same problem. The site is a genuine payment site operated by German bank.

Do you have any other suggestions how to fix the problem ?
