We, on this side of the pond are coming up on the 150th anniversary
of the Battle of Antietam, or Battle of Sharpsburg as it's known in the
south. A very dark chapter in the History of these United States.
The weather being perfect for a drive in the country yesterday, I
decided to make the 50 mile trip to Washington County, Maryland
and see first hand what took place there.
Have been researching deeply into this area in recent years, but the
topic may be too OT or sensitive for the group, so will limit it to TWO
photos.
