OT The Microsoft phone scam is there any point wasting their time?

I got yet another "I am from Windows and we have detected a an infection
on your machine" (Indian accent)

I kept the woman on the phone for about 5 minutes then was transferred
to another guy then wasted 20 minutes of his time.

I thought the that the more time I waste of that guy the less time they
have to find some poor old granny and cost them more with of overseas
phone calls.

In the end would it make a difference? Is it better to just hang up?

I agree with you, if you are wasting their time they can't be harassing
someone who might hand over some money. As long as it amuses you, why not? :)

I agree with you, if you are wasting their time they can't be harassing
someone who might hand over some money. As long as it amuses you, why not? :)



Now I know the script better I suppose I can play GNU chess while I talk.

You have a point. I suppose that now I the script I can play GNU chess
at same time.
