Sheevaplug: Squeeze on SD won't boot on power up
April 22nd, 2010 - 10:30 pm ET by Mark Johnson | Report spam
I have a strange problem, or at least one that Google doesn't help me find
an answer too.
I have installed Squeeze on an SD card following the excellent web site by
Martin Michlmayr.
However, my Sheevaplug won't boot after being powered on. If I type "run
bootcmd" atthe Marvell>> prompt, it *does* boot just fine!
After power up, the boot fails so fast that all I (sometimes) get a glimpse
of is:
Error! cmd : 8, err : 0201
Error! cmd : 1, err : 0201
Error! cmd : 1, err : 0201

If I issue a printenv, I get the results shown below.
What is going on?
The plug runs fine after this manual boot command, but I can't have a serial
connection to it all the time!
Thank,
Mark
