My status bar is missing in Word. Is there a menu item to make it appear or is there something wrong with my copy of Word?

Is the Status Bar "missing" or are you just not seeing some of the content
formerly displayed in earlier versions of Word?

If the Status Bar is actually not displayed go to Word> Preferences> View &
restore the check for Status Bar in the Window group.

OTOH, if the Status Bar is there but you simply aren't seeing such things as
Section Numbers, Line Numbers, Column Numbers, etc. I'm afraid there's
nothing to be done other than to use Help> Send Feedback to add your voice
to the choir. Why this information was removed in this version I have no
idea but we're hoping it will be restored in the next release.
