What steps are you taking to play them ? If real player is set as the
default player for MP3 files, then WMP will never open to play them.

You can try adding those filers to the media library in WMP : Press F3
key in WMp to show 'Monitor Folders' dialog. Then click Advanced, and
Browse... to the folder(s) containing the downloaded MP3 files

You'd find they 're added automagically if they're downloaded to My
Music folder, but WMP doesn't know about them if you add them
elsewhere (such as C:\DownloadedMP3Files as an example)

Once it's completed scanning the folder(s) for media files, they
should appear in the library as and when you save them in the
monitored folders - you can then play them simply from the library,
without knowing specifically where the file is on the computer.
