WMP 11 Won't Burn CD "Insert a blank CD"

I'm running v11.0.5707.5043.

The left sidebar shows:

(CD) Blank Disc (O:)
(CD) Blank Disc (P:)

I can click on these links and it shows no content "The disc is empty".

Yet, when I'm on the Burn tab, the upper right shows:

CD Drive (O:)
Audio CD

Next Drive >
-
Insert a blank CD

It shows the same for P: as well. Both are burners and both have blank
CD's in them. I burn discs all the time and this was not a problem for
WMP 10.

Thoughts?

The final release of WMP11 is out now - upgrading to that might help. But
WMP doesn't really update CD burning very much -
