The Asus Eee PC inaugurates a new category of mobile devices that are smaller, less powerful then traditional portable computers, but which offer all the possibilities of a computer. After the EeePC 701, it is the EeePC 900 which has been released in France, running Windows XP. Despite its screen that is slightly bigger and its bigger disk drive, its size is almost identical. All of this, along with its low price of 530$ should please a large number of users.

Finally, productivity hasn’t been forgotten with the works applications and the StarOffice 8 suite, allowing you to write and edit a wide range of documents. Here once again, you can eventually install other office suites depending on your needs and desires.

The storage space on the Eee PC 900 is organised into two partitions, one of about 4 GB and the other of 8GB. The SD card is seen as a separate drive. When in use, the system seems to be relatively reactive, with a few moments where you have to wait at times, but this doesn’t end up being overly annoying.
