Making stops at 10 locations throughout the Americas, this daylong
technical seminar series will feature presentations and hands-on labs
demonstrating TI’s DaVinci digital media processors, C6000™ digital
signal processors (DSP), DSP + ARM processors and ARM microprocessors.
Technical experts from both Avnet and TI will teach design engineers how

development platform.
“TI is continually seeking ways to make embedded development easier,”
said Jake Alamat, director, marketing, ARM microprocessors, TI. “By
teaming up with Avnet, embedded developers can learn Linux programming
by utilizing the popular open source community platform, BeagleBoard-xM,
along with TI’s EZ SDK. It’s a great way to springboard development into
other areas of embedded hardware design.”
“BeagleBoard-xM and TI’s EZ SDK are great tools to jumpstart Linux
development on TI’s popular ARM microprocessors,” said John Weber,
applications engineering manager at Avnet Electronics Marketing

About the BeagleBoard-xM open source community board
The BeagleBoard-xM delivers 1GHz ARM® Cortex™-A8 performance and extra
memory with 512MB of low-power DDR RAM, enabling hobbyists, innovators
and engineers to go beyond their current imagination. Designed with the
community input in mind, this open hardware design improves upon the
laptop-like performance and expandability, while keeping at handheld
power levels. Direct connectivity is supported by the on-board four-port
hub with 10/100 Ethernet, while maintaining a tiny 3.25-square-inch
footprint.
