Review Backup
Comparison of System Backup solutions

Your Windows restore system doesn’t work, your PC will no longer boot and there is nothing you can do to fix the problem meaning that the only solution is to reinstall the system and there is no guarantee that your data will be safe. Such problems exist and it is for this reason that emergency backup programs for your system exist. Less expensive then RAID, these programs will reinstall all of your programs with just a few clicks.

Thanks to PowerQuests Drive Image technology, a company that was purchased a few months ago by Symantec, Norton Ghost has gradually evolved since the 2003 version. Here you will find the best of Norton Ghost 9.0 which includes a great data backup solution as well as support for removable devices connected by the USB 1.1/2.0 and firewire interfaces, the cloning of disks and/or partitions as well as advanced tools that will please a lot of experts (MBR modifications, partition table, boot.ini, active partition). The program is very intuitive thanks to its simple interface and a few extra features added to version 10. For example, the automatic creations of an initial backup, starting a backup sequence when particular events occur like the installation of new hardware or software. This program is also quite light on resource use which is always an added bonus.
As for default, we are disappointed that it is impossible to create an emergency rescues disk with S-ATA RAID drivers corresponding to your configuration, which implies the obligatory use of a diskette so as to load the S-ATA/RAID drivers when the emergency system is starting. As well as this, it seems that Ghost 10 is completely incompatible with the nForce 4 S-ATA/RAID controllers, which is fortunately not nVidia’s latest chipsets.
