This year’s conference, featuring the theme “Products in Action,” will
allow gaming operators who use Bally Systems to see the company’s
cutting-edge new solutions live on the Pechanga casino floor. In
addition, the annual event will provide attendees with practical tips
and tricks, innovative ideas, and networking to help them get the most
from their Bally Systems solutions.
“The future of floor-wide bonusing is at Systems User Conference 8
today,” said Richard Haddrill, Chief Executive Officer of Bally
Technologies, Inc. “We have been building our suite of bonusing products
and server-based solutions for the past several years, and this year
attendees will truly get to see these incredible applications in action,
creating unique player experiences, driving revenue, and streamlining
operations for our customers.”
Haddrill added, “Each year I am honored and look forward to meeting with
the hundreds of respected gaming industry leaders who attend this event
and have a strong interest in Bally’s latest system and server-based
technology offerings. We want them to learn how to get the most from
their continued investment in our technology, and for the Bally team to
listen to their needs.”
“This year’s conference is especially exciting because of the variety of
server-based, market-ready solutions we will be showing; the targeted
sessions for our IT, marketing, gaming, and financial users; and our
showcase of some of the emerging capabilities our customers can expect
in the next evolution of our products,” said Ramesh Srinivasan,
Executive Vice President – Bally Systems. “Our customers commit valuable
time to this event, and the input we get is critical to ensuring our
products meet the current and future needs of our customers.”
Bally Systems manage more machines than any other system provider, and
much of what is learned from this huge install base in terms of scale
and complexity is embedded in the new systems technology innovations
that will be spotlighted during the conference, which draws Bally
Systems customers from elite properties across the globe.
One of the key solutions that will be in action on the Pechanga casino
floor is Bally’s iVIEW™
player-communication technology for the networked floor. More than 2,400
games will have the iVIEW player-user-interface, and Bally’s
award-winning iVIEW
Display Manager (DM)™ game screen player-user-interface will be
featured on 1,200 gaming machines from Aristocrat, Bally, IGT, Konami,
and WMS. iVIEW DM allows gaming operators to present personalized
content, such as player account information and directed marketing
messages, on the main game screen without interrupting play. iVIEW DM
also enables point-of-sale marketing to improve player experiences.
This backward-compatible technology, which can work on any
manufacturer’s touch-screen gaming devices, has evolved into a
self-service kiosk, enabling players to carry out many functions, some
of which will be showcased at Systems User Conference 8, including
ordering drinks and reviewing their offers.
As a point-of-sale device, other features it can offer include the
ability for players to conduct banking functions without leaving their
seat. Streaming video functions even allow players to watch live
sporting events and TV programs.
“The response to this evolving product and the applications that will
run on it has been very gratifying, and our customers appreciate the
fact that this solution can create return on previously invested
capital, while preparing them for the future,” Srinivasan said. “The
early adopters of this technology have been true partners and have
worked with us to solve problems and build capabilities, all of which
have resulted in the new products our partner attendees will see in
action.”
Another highlight of the conference will be the Bally SDS®
Windows® system for slot accounting, which provides casino
operations of all sizes with a competitive and scalable slot management
system utilizing a modern scalable architecture. Also shown will be the Elite
Bonusing Suite™. When combined with Bally’s iVIEW and iVIEW DM
player-user-interfaces, the Elite Bonsuing Suite creates incredible
excitement on the casino floor through floor-wide bonusing events at
each gaming machine.
During the conference, Pechanga will host a floor-wide Virtual
Racing™ event for customers, leveraging the entire iVIEW DM network,
the Elite Bonusing Suite, and the Bally
CoolSign® media-management solution to manage digital displays.
Bally will also showcase live demonstrations of U-Spin
Bonusing™, which enables casino patrons to touch and spin a virtual
bonus wheel and win rewards – all without interrupting their slot play.
Systems User Conference attendees will get to experience Bally TV™, with
customized marketing messages, casino and resort information, and access
to player's club account information on their in-room TV. In addition,
key conference sessions will be available through Bally TV on-demand in
attendees’ hotel rooms.
Bally will demonstrate managing content via tools like Bally
Command Center™ and CoolSign on traditional distribution channels.
Bally will also showcase solutions for hand-held smart devices,
including Service Tracking Manager™, a browser-based dispatch system
that dramatically improves efficiency and customer service on the casino
floor by routing patron requests made at the slot machine via iVIEW or
iVIEW DM to casino floor personnel via handheld smart devices such as
the iPhone®, iPad®, and Blackberry®.
Another mobile innovation that will be showcased at Systems User
Conference 8 is the
Bally App, which lets players stay connected to their
favorite casino and access key player’s club features, no matter where
they are in the world, safely and securely, from their smart device
including the iPhone®, iPod Touch®, and Windows® 7 mobile phones.
To enrich the conference, Bally will host internationally respected
speakers Dr. James Canton and Emmitt Smith.
