will celebrate Black History Month with special events and promotions
recognizing the significant contributions by African-Americans to the
world’s social, political and economic development. Throughout February,

All stores will have a Black History Month display of books for all

Children Can Soar: A Celebration of Rosa, Barack, and the Pioneers of
Change by Michelle Cook. In addition, Barnes & Noble stores will
also highlight the artwork of acclaimed African-American artist April
Harrison on an exclusive signature tote bag and journal, and on posters
and signs in stores and graphics on BN.com. Barnes & Noble.com will also
promote Black History Month with author features, relevant NOOK Books™
and specially priced books, CDs and DVDs that honor the Black American

Barnes & Noble stores across the country will host Storytime events with
readings and themed activities, as well as local author events related
