institutions nationwide, today announced the appointment of Robert
Loughrey, chief technology officer (CTO). In this position, Loughrey
will oversee Bluepoint’s product development, quality assurance,
professional services and customer support.
A certified Project Management Professional with more than 25 years of
experience managing research and product development initiatives,
Loughrey brings a proven record of innovation and leadership to the
Bluepoint team. An accomplished manager of both projects and people, his
vision will play a key role in Bluepoint’s continued expansion into bank
and credit union markets, as well as the development of new channel
partnerships.

Prior to joining Bluepoint, Loughrey was the senior program manager of
Calif.-based, PatientSafe Solutions, where he led three major software
releases within 15 months. Before that, Loughrey was a group engineering
manager at Intuit, Inc., where he implemented Agile development
methodologies like Scrum, which allowed for the quick development and
delivery of two leading-edge products. During this time, Loughrey also
managed Shared Services projects that supported main company products of
the Intuit organization, an 8,000 employee company with revenues of
nearly $4 billion. As a result of Loughrey’s leadership, he was awarded
Intuit’s coveted Fast Track Leadership Award.
