Boingo Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ: WIFI), the Wi-Fi industry’s leading provider of software and services worldwide, today announced network access agreements with five operators, providing new hotspots in Norway, Denmark, the United Kingdom, the Balkans and Malta. The new agreements add more than 1,500 new locations to Boingo’s global network of more than 400,000 hotspots.

In the Nordic region, Boingo expanded its network by more than 1,000 hotspots through agreements with two leading operators, TDC and the Telenor Group. Boingo’s agreement with TDC, the leading Danish provider of telecommunications solutions, gives customers access to 800 hotspots at hotels, coffee shops and train stations across the country. The agreement with Norway’s Telenor Group, one of the world’s major mobile operators, includes Wi-Fi Internet access to an additional 200 hotspots at popular hotels and other locations in the region.

Boingo is further enhancing its network of available hotspots in the United Kingdom through an agreement with Airangel, the U.K.’s leading provider of guest Internet access solutions. Boingo customers can now access Wi-Fi via Airangel’s 130 hotel, retail and sporting venues. Airangel hotel partners include Radisson Blu, Holiday Inn and De Vere, with more than 16,000 rooms covered in the region.

Boingo adds coverage in the Balkans via leading Macedonian operator Sun Wireless. The agreement provides access to Sun Wireless’ expanding network of more than 350 hotspots in 10 cities throughout the country, including widespread coverage in Macedonia’s capital city of Skopje, the country’s two main airports, and a host of hotels and restaurants nationwide.

The company is also introducing coverage in Malta, the popular international vacation destination. Via an agreement with Sky Telecom, Boingo users will have access to more than 50 hotspot locations at hotels and coffee shops throughout the island nation.

“Roaming charges and new data plan limits can make connecting while traveling internationally a costly proposition,” said Bjorn Thorngren, director of EMEA for Boingo Wireless. “Our new agreements with these leading operators give our users additional flexibility as they travel the globe, and allow our platform service partners to offer their subscribers access to a rapidly expanding Wi-Fi network in diverse business and tourist hubs worldwide.”

Boingo offers a variety of Wi-Fi access plans to serve international business or leisure travelers, including Boingo Global, offering access to Boingo hotspots worldwide; Boingo Europe Plus, providing access to more than 200,000 hotspots throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Boingo U.K. and Ireland.
