Bug#514519: miniedit.el still alive ?

April 05th, 2010 - 02:30 am ET by Peter S Galbraith | Report spam
Hello,

A while back, someone suggested[1] that miniedit.el be added to Debian
Gnu/Linux in the emacs-goodies-el package[2]. It is still alive and
well (and maintained)?

I see that the latest is here:

http://gnufans.net/~deego/emacspub/lisp-mine/miniedit/dev/miniedit.el

and that the URL listed in the file itself no longer works:

http://www.glue.umd.edu/~deego

If still active, would you consider adding code to allow installation
via the custom interface? It would make it more user-friendly.
Setting the defcustom would run `miniedit-install'. I could provide the
patch.

Thanks,
Peter

Hi Peter, hi Deepak!

It is still alive and well (and maintained)?

The last version i submitted code and ideas seems to be 1.31a or before,
a very long time ago. I am busy with other projects (private/job), so at
the moment i have no time to contribute.

Setting the defcustom would run `miniedit-install'. I could provide
the patch.

For me that is perfectly ok.

Regards,
Christoph
