Bug#605589: Download of plug-in fails -- also with Laserjet Pro CP1525n (probably patch available)

August 09th, 2012 - 07:20 am ET by Patrick Rudin | Report spam
I just checked the source of hplip and imho there is just a simple typo:

file:
./hplip-3.12.6/prnt/ps/hp-laserjet_cp1520_series-ps.ppd.gz

*Product: "(HP LaserJet CP1525N)"

Should be n, not N. The real name is CP1525n, and that's probably why
the installer can't recognice the printer.

Maybe this has nothing to do with the original report from ronny, but
could you please apply this patch?

regards

Patrick

Or depending of firmware version could be CP1525N, why not using a non
case sensitive test ?
