Bug#606154: pommed: Pommed audio volume support conflicts with GNOME (and probably KDE)

December 06th, 2010 - 04:20 pm ET by Giovanni Toraldo \(gionn\) | Report spam
Package: pommed
Version: 1.35~dfsg-1
Severity: normal

I noticed that nowadays both GNOME and KDE supports natively the XF86 multimedia keys for volume control on my macbook pro.
With pommed enable, the volume step up/down twice due to pommed and gnome/kde concurrents adjustements.

Is there any way to disable audio support in pommed?
I've mitigated the problem setting step = 1, but isn't so beautiful.

Thanks.

Using pommed implies not using an integrated DE, actually. GNOME has
caught up and should support pretty much all the features by now.
