Bug#606323: gnome-panel: Upper panel doesnt show running aplications

December 08th, 2010 - 07:40 am ET by missing kernel module for TDA18218 dvb-t tuner | Report spam
Package: gnome-panel
Version: 2.20.3-5
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software

Before, when i started aplication (Twinkle, skype, knotes) it appeared in right end of
upper panel (left to the clocks/calendar). Now it does not. But process only appears in list
of processes as "sleeping".
Major problem is, that i cant get to my old notes in "knotes" program. Old notes are access
right end of upper panel.
(this is reason, why i think that this bug is critical, i hope my older important notes are
deleted due of this bug).

* missing kernel module for TDA18218 dvb-t tuner [2010-12-08 12:34:53 CET]:

Please right-click on the panel and add to the panel the notification
area. This is where these icons would appear. It seems like you
accidently removed it.

Unless you can reproduce it to get missing repeatedly it rather seems
to be a one-time hickup, and (re)adding the notification area should get
you back on tracks again. So if you are not able to reproduce it again,
feel free to close this bugreport by sending a mail to
stating so.

Enjoy!
