The description uses too many dashes which caught my attention, so below

"... open source document management system ..."

LetoDMS combines all these features with a nice-looking web-interface

"web interface"

which makes it possible to access your documents not only via intranet
in your office but worldwide via the internet.

* Upload files through web-interface

Same as above.

* Create folders to group your documents
* Edit document and folder properties online
* Detailed information on uploaded documents
* Lock and unlock documents
* Update documents - old versions are saved
* Individual Icons for different Mime-Types

"MIME types"

* Set expiration-date for documents

"expiration date"

* Users are notified about new/updated or expired documents via email

"... new, updated or expired ..."

* Download documents or view them online within your Browser
* Control access via detailed ACLs (access control lists)
* User- and Group-Management

"User- and group management"

* Powerfule search-engine

"Powerful search engine"

* Multi language support

"Multi-language support". But I think it's better to write "Support for
multiple languages".

* Template-System

"Template system"

* User can choose language and theme on login
* Intuitive User-Interface

"User interface"

* Should work with every Browser
* Easy to install

This has no sense for a Debian package, so I think it's better to
drop this line completely.

* Auto-conversion to HTML to view even MS Word-Documents online

"... Microsoft Word documents ..." but I think it would be better to
make the whole sentence more neutral like "Automatic conversion of
various document formats to HTML for online viewing".

* Supports multiple databases through ADOdb
