Bug#629569: varnish: "now" variable missing

June 07th, 2011 - 03:10 pm ET by Ivan Savcic | Report spam
Package: varnish
Version: 2.1.3-8
Severity: normal

"now" variable is missing, probably due to a missing merge[1].

Output from Varnish console:

Message from VCC-compiler:
Expected ';' got 'now'
(program line 491), at
(input Line 609 Pos 16)
<h2>"} now {"</h2>
###--
Running VCC-compiler failed, exit 1VCL compilation failed

If "now" variable is deleted from the abovementioned config, VCL
compiles successfully.

"man 7 vcl" suggests that "now" variable should exist.

Thank you. That actually looks serious. Will investigate.
