Bug#631790: overwrite problem with context-nonfree

June 27th, 2011 - 04:30 am ET by Atsuhito KOHDA | Report spam
Package: context
Version: 2011.05.18.20110626-1
Severity: normal

Hi all,

I upgraded my sid system today and encounterd a problem
with context. I checked BTS but didn't find the same
report so I filed this.

Upgrading of context failed due to overwtiting
'/usr/share/texmf/fonts/map/pdftex/context/koeieletters.map'
which was alson included in context-nonfree 2007.03.22-1
dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)
(sorry but the real messages contained Japanese characters
so I modified them in English.)

It seems context Suggests context-nonfree so I can remove it
manually and I can upgrade my system successfully but this is
a bit annoying.

Also it looks rather strange that context-nonfree is of very old
version 2007.03.22-1. Is it really right package?

In fact, I don't understand the real situation of context and
context-nonfree but hope the problem will be fixed in a reasonable
way.

Thanks for your maintenance.

Best regards, 2011-6-27(Mon)

Right. Fixed in the upload I am doing just now.

Only problem, it also adds a recommends on a new package that is
waiting in the NEW queue. But it is only recomends.

Best wishes
