Bug#645463: gnome-session: [upgrade to gnome3] preferences lost - all fonts reset wrongly

October 15th, 2011 - 07:30 pm ET by Norbert Preining | Report spam
Package: gnome-session
Version: 3.0.2-3
Severity: serious
Justification: keep preferences of user

Upgrading to gnome3 seriously hosed all my preferences, all font settings are gone,
preferred apps, etc etc, I cannot even come up with a *list* of things that
are messed up.

Is this the intended way it should proceed?

Norbert

Please stay technical, thanks

Please be explicit as possible what different configurations were not
imported/migrated.
It's possible that we need to clone/reassign different settings to different
applications which need to do the configuration migration.

Cheers,
Michael
