Bug#647749: doesn't work; invalid weather.com license key

November 05th, 2011 - 01:50 pm ET by Romain Francoise | Report spam
Package: xfce4-weather-plugin
Version: 0.7.4-1
Severity: grave
Tags: upstream

The plugin tries to get weather data from xoap.weather.com which replies
"Invalid License Key". Since this affects all users of the package and
makes it useless, I'm setting the severity to 'grave'.

Thanks,

Yes, and unfortunately the plugin is more or less unmaintained. If noone
steps up at Xfce for that, I guess the only solution will be to remove
it for all Debian versions...

Right now, I guess it could be worth waiting with the bug open an
assigned, in case someone shows up. Then if that doesn't happen, will
reasign to ftp-masters to have it removed.

Regards,
Yves-Alexis
