Bug#661394: hide_auth_header not respected by Squirrelmail

February 26th, 2012 - 05:20 pm ET by Daniel Pocock | Report spam
Package: squirrelmail
Version: 2:1.4.21-2

I've set

$hide_auth_header = true

however Squirrelmail doesn't respect this setting and insists on adding
the Received: header with IP and account details of the user accessing
the webmail interface

It appears that this was fixed in a 2008 commit upstream:

http://marc.info/?l=squirrelmail-cvs&m2851112926391

but when I check that file in Debian, it is not fixed

/usr/share/squirrelmail/class/deliver/Deliver.class.php

It was not ported to the 1.4 branch. I've done that now, so it will appear
in the next upstream release.

Cheers,
Thijs
