c# - how do I set a custom property of a shape?

I"m grabbing data from a database and using that info to draw a diagram and populate the datasheet. I get the data from the db ok, but I don't know how to set the value for a shape's custom property? For instance, how do I set the "InternalID" property with a value from a db?
