Canon Information and Imaging Solutions, Inc., a wholly–owned subsidiary
of Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced the availability of a new
cloud-based application, Forms and Print Services for Salesforce.
Leveraging Canon’s innovative imaging technologies, the new application
allows users to create highly visual and attention-grabbing reports,
forms or proposals from their Salesforce data, and easily print them
without the need for any print drivers*. The Forms and Print Services
application is immediately available for deployment on the AppExchange
at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange/
and through Canon Authorized Dealers, Canon Business Solutions, and Océ
North America.
Forms and Print Services for Salesforce, which was previewed at
salesforce.com’s Dreamforce 2011, allows mobile salespeople, logistics
managers and other users to:
-
Present sales results and forecasts with charts and graphs,
-
Create dynamic and attractive proposals for clients,
-
Batch print transactional documents such as invoices, shipping
documents, accounting reports and statements to name a few.
Forms and Print Services for Salesforce is the result of a direct
integration between Salesforce and the Canon Business Imaging Online
cloud service. By logging into a Salesforce account, the application
gives end-users seamless access to the forms and print-functions through
a single operation.
“We are extremely excited to announce the new Canon Forms and Print
Services for Salesforce application,” said Seymour Liebman, president,
Canon Information and Imaging Solutions. “For customers that are seeking
to efficiently print documents based on data in Salesforce, this app
provides a new level of functionality.”
“Customers are looking to partners such as Canon to continue to expand
the social, mobile and trusted capabilities of cloud as they transform
into social enterprises,” said Ron Huddleston, senior vice president,
ISV Alliances, salesforce.com. “With applications like Forms and Print
Services for Salesforce, customers are able to take full advantage of
the salesforce.com ecosystem.”
Because the application will be delivered through the cloud, there is no
need to install print drivers*. Mobile users will be able to easily
retrieve their selected print jobs from the cloud by simply logging into
their Salesforce account from their mobile device or directly from the
panel of a Canon image RUNNER ADVANCE multifunction printer. While Forms
and Print Services for Salesforce delivers the most comprehensive set of
capabilities and convenience when used in combination with Canon
devices, the application is also capable of supporting the delivery of
output to non-Canon printers as well.
The Forms and Print Services for Salesforce application is offered as a
monthly package subscription, payable on an annual basis. Canon
Professional Services will be utilized to design sophisticated,
customized forms and to implement and facilitate the use of the
application in the United States. Applicable terms and conditions and
system and other requirements are available from a Canon Information and
Imaging Solutions sales representative.
