Chester French, a duo comprising singer and songwriter D.A. Wallach and
multi-instrumentalist and composer Max Drummey, has been known since
their 2009 debut, Love The Future, as a band dedicated to
pursuing radically inventive sound. But the band is also dedicated to
pursuing radical invention in media.
So to help promote their new album, Music 4 TNGRS, the
band partnered with BitTorrent, Inc to release a new free media Bundle;
offering key cuts from the record, including talked-about track “The
Next Big Thing”, featuring Pharrell and Pusha T;
an exclusive new Wald3N remix of “Black Girls”, and high-res album art.
The BitTorrent Bundle will go live today to the software’s audience of
150 million young, digitally-savvy users, and is available for immediate
download here.
Users who preview or download the tracks will be directed to Chester
French’s site and iTunes,
to show their support for the band.
“Chester French is an innovative band that’s not only changed pop music,
but also one that’s at the forefront of the movement to change the way
pop music is heard and distributed, for good,” said Matt Mason,
executive director of marketing at BitTorrent. “They’re embracing new
models for promotion, and we’re committed to helping them, and artists
like them, to achieve their distribution goals through our network and
tools.”
The Chester French BitTorrent Bundle is part of BitTorrent, Inc’s
program to support the Internet’s creative community. Since 2010,
BitTorrent has invested in an ongoing series of experiments to make
digital media distribution more viable for artists, by helping to
connect key collaborators with BitTorrent’s global audience of 150
million fans. Today, these experiments have matured into full-fledged
campaigns and successful case studies for creators around the world; for
musicians like Counting Crows, Death Grips and Pretty Lights; for films
like The Tunnel, Pioneer One and Kumaré; and for
institutions like TED, the Khan Academy and more. Users can access this
