Choose the initial folder to be used when opening Windows Explorer

When opening Windows explorer (file manager) it will open by default in the root of the My Documents folder. It may be that this folder is not necessarily the folder that you want to use, so here is how you can change the location to be somewhere (local disk or network) that better suits you:
Right click on the Windows Explorer icon and select Properties.
In the Windows Explorer properties, go to the target field. Its in the field that you will have to specify the default folder that you want to open to when using Windows Explorer. If for example you wanted to open directly into the C:\WINNT folder then you would have to add the following switches to the field: /n,/e,C:WINNT as you can see below:
Of course you can input the location that works best for you by simply changing the C:\WINNT entry to anything that you want.
Click on OK for the changes to take effect and you will be back at the Windows desktop.
