ClearTrial
(http://www.cleartrial.com),
the leading provider of software
for the planning,
forecasting,
and tracking
of clinical project and financial performance, announced today that
Molly Blake-Michaels, Senior Director, Clinical Services for ClearTrial,
has been asked to present at Cambridge Healthtech Institute's (CHI)
Summit for Clinical Operations Executives (SCOPE) Conference. Attended
each year by more than 350 key biopharmaceutical and medical device
executives, SCOPE features best practice case studies and interactive
discussions relevant to experts in clinical development, clinical
operations, outsourcing, and project management.
Blake-Michaels will present “Effective Resource Planning: Reducing
Clinical Project Risk and Cost” in the conference's Clinical Trial
Forecasting, Budgeting, and Project Management track. Her presentation
will explore the challenges facing biopharmaceutical and medical device
companies in accurately planning resource demand, leading to increased
project risk and higher development costs. Blake-Michaels will also
provide case studies of how leading sponsors are overcoming these
challenges to allocate resources efficiently for individual studies as
well as across the project portfolio—reducing project risk, lowering
operating costs, and improving employee morale and productivity.
Conference organizers have also called upon Blake-Michaels to moderate a
roundtable discussion, "Effectively Managing Resources: Driving
Strategic Clinical Resource Planning and Capacity Management.” This
roundtable will address questions critical to improving study efficiency
and outcomes, including:
-
How are leading study sponsors forecasting and managing resources more
effectively?
-
What benefits are they seeing from doing so?
-
What are some of the challenges (e.g., organizational, cultural,
technological) facing efforts to implement these best practices?
"ClearTrial is honored to have been invited by Cambridge Healthtech
Institute to share our thought leadership and domain expertise at this
important industry conference," noted Andrew Grygiel, Chief Marketing
Officer for ClearTrial. "We look forward to helping life sciences
companies compress study cycle-times and reduce study cost and risk
through effective resource planning.”
The CHI SCOPE conference is being held February 7-9, 2012 at the Hilton
Miami Downtown in Miami, Florida. For more information or to register,
