Copy and Paste from Linux to XP

I have a KVM XP VM running on Fedora 14. Copy and Paste from Linux to XP
doesn't work for most applications, however it does work for some. For
example I was able to copy from Firefox on Linux into both Clarisworks (an
old Win95 word processor that Apple sold in the days before the return of
Steve Jobs) and HR Block @Home 2010. However it doesn't work for IE,
Firefox or Word 2K.

Does anyone have an idea about what's going on?

BTW I use rdesktop to access the XP VM, however I get the same problem
when I use KVM's display.
