If you don't want to install your internet provider's connection kit as it is usually resource intensive then this tutorial will explain how you can create your own manual ADSL connection under Windows 2000. The PPTP protocol is used to create your connection.

Click on the Security tab at the top.
The following window will appear:



You should now uncheck the “Requires file encryption” box (circled on the picture).

Next, click on the “Network Management” tab along the top.
