This tip will allow you to access the “Run” box with the help of a simple shortcut that is placed on the desktop or in the quick launch toolbar.

This is normally accessible from the start menu.

This can also be quite easily opened with the key combination of “Windows Key + R”, but people often don’t know all of the shortcuts and find it easier to start applications quickly from the quick launch bar.

Here is how you can create a shortcut:

1. Create a JavaScript file

  • Right click on the desktop and from the drop menu select “New” and “Text File”, which will create the “New Text Document.txt” file on the desktop.
