The Firefox browser is relatively simple to use and it is quite effective. This said, some of you will find the graphical interface a little sad. Did you know that there is a custom interface that you can use so that you can choose a different skin? There are actually a large number of them. It’s up to you to choose the one that you like best.

Once you are in the Firefox program, click on the “Tools” menu and select “Additional modules”. In the window that opens, click on the “Themes” button and then on the “Obtain themes” link which can be found at the bottom right.

This link will send you to a Firefox themes site, with each of the options being sorted into categories. After having chosen the theme that suits you, launch the download and install of the theme you want by clicking on the “Install” button.

Once the installation has completed, a new theme will appear (Metal Lion – Vista in our case). Select it and click on “Use this theme”. Close Firefox and re-launch it. The theme will now be operational.

You can install as many themes as you like. To change from one to another you simply need to return to the modules manager, in the themes section, and choose the theme you want and activate it before restarting the program.
