The Cyber Snipa brand of products are primarily aimed at gamers, with their webcams, mice, mouse pads, gamepads, etc. Today, we are interested in looking at this brands webcams.
The two models that we are interested in are the
Cyber Snipa Scout and
Cyber Snipa Spotter Webcams. These products are distributed by
Listan.
Cyber Snipa ScoutThe Scout model is a webcam which can be used just as easily with a laptop computer as with a workstation thanks to its clip. This allows you to attach it to your laptops screen or to your workstations LCD monitor, with it then being pivotal, or it also has feet meaning it can be sat on the top of a CRT screen. It should be noted that the clips grip comes with mousse padding so that you don’t ruin the monitor.

Cyber Snipa Spotter Webcam This webcam is cylinder in shape, with the black colour coming from a rubber covering, and has a button on the bottom to start the device. This model has the particularity of possessing, according to the maker, a zoom that can be adjusted from 7x to 18x thanks to adapted lens. This variation between 7x and 18x is unfortunately not optical by done with software. As a reminder, the software zoom consists of displaying part of the image captured by the webcam larger, which reduces the definition and still doesn’t make it possible to see more detail as the pixels are simply bigger.
The Cyber Snipa Spotter Webcam with and without zoom
This webcam comes with a tripod that is about fifteen centimetres high which offers a great deal of stability when in zoom mode. You therefore don’t have to position your LCD screen like with the Cyber Snipa Scout.
Its resolution is 640 x 480 pixels at 30 images per second and it is possible to possible to play with the display software to go as high as 1600 x 1200 pixels, like its brother, as it uses the same software.
The box contains a little more then the previous model with the zoom and webcam are present, along with the installation CD and user manual, a pocket that the zoom can be stored in and a small cleaning cloth for the lens.
