How can I delete old programs from customization list?

I tried regedit but there is no listing in:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local
Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify
on the right except: Default, Last Advertisement, and User Start Time

What do you mean by "customization list"? If you mean the list of
recently-used programs in the Start menu, just click on any one and
select "Remove from this list". If you want to delete them all and
have it stop accumulating such recently-used programs, right-click
the start button and select Properties » Customize, then set "Number
of recent programs to display" to 0.
