DisplayLink®,
the leading provider of technology for virtual graphics and
USB-connected computing, and CyberLink®, the leading
multimedia software provider, will showcase the world’s first Protected
Content DVD playback over USB Graphics at Computex 2012.
Since the announcement of DisplayLink’s DL-3000 USB3.0 based silicon
last year, DisplayLink and CyberLink have engaged to provide the best
user / playback experience possible for the growing USB graphics space.
DisplayLink has shipped over 5 million chips and software to users
globally and the latest DL-3000 chips marks the world’s first USB
Graphics solution to enable HDCP for protected content playback.
“CyberLink is an industry leader for providing outstanding media
playback solution,” said John Cummins, VP Sales and Marketing for
DisplayLink. “Through the cooperation with CyberLink, we are able to
showcase DL-3000 chipsets with latest USB3.0 at Computex 2012 and move
USB Graphics to the next level.”
“CyberLink has been dedicated to providing innovative multimedia
solution for premium digital experience,” said Louis Chen, AVP of
Business Development for CyberLink. “We are excited to work closely with
DisplayLink to offer diverse playback solution and multimedia technology
over USB.”
Built on CyberLink’s popular PowerDVD software, the new solution works
in conjunction with DisplayLink’s DL-3000 HDCP enabled silicon and
software to enable seamless playback of protected DVD content to both
the host computer and connected USB displays over DisplayLink enabled
USB adapters / Docking stations, and monitor solutions. Dates for
release will be available shortly and demonstrations are available at
Computex 2012 in the DisplayLink demonstration area at the ‘W’ Hotel
Taipei, 11th Floor Strategy II from 5th June
through 7th June.
