Don’t display the Recent Documents in the Start Menu

October 27th, 2008 - 05:15 am ET by B. C.

If you use a common session with all member of the house, then you may not want each of them to see what documents you have created or opened, which is currently possible in the Windows Start menu History. Here is how you can disable this.

Right click on the task bar, and in the menu that appears click on “Properties” at the bottom.

From here, click on the “Start Menu” tab and go to the sub-section “Privacy”. You simply need to uncheck the first case and click on OK so that the history isn’t displayed. It should also be noted that it is possible to do the same thing with other applications.
