Download and convert Dailymotion and YouTube videos

You may often use the Dailymotion and YouTube platforms, and wish it was possible to download your favorite videos to your computer so that you can watch them again without having to look for them and wait for the streaming. There is a very good program which is able to help you then. For this tip, we have opted to use the XVideoServiceThief program, which is open source, free, simple to use and offers a number of possibilities.

After having downloaded, installed and started the program, you will firstly need to configure it. From the main interface, check or uncheck the two automatic start up boxes for download and conversion. Next click on the “More Options” button to the bottom right.

From the first tab which looks like a hammer, it is possible to define the save location for the downloaded and converted video, to chose the video format on offer such as AVI and WMV, to define the video resolution and the audio quality and whether or not you want to enlarge the original file before the conversion takes place. It is also possible, from the gold shield tab, to block adult sites.
